Welcome to Easy Chair Art my Photoshop Picture Page

These Adobe Photoshop pictures and images have been created to be part of the Public Domain. All images are free to download,

The purpose of this web site is to share photos I have taken and images I have created using Adobe Photoshop. As this site grows I will be including tutorials on how images are edited and other things you can create in Photoshop. I am not a professional artist, but I create these images as a hobby. My goal is to post information about Adobe Photoshop as I learn different techniques and provide the sample pictures. Please stop by often for I will be adding to this site on a regular basis.

Now as I said, I am not a professional artist, but enjoy drawing, painting and working with digital images. I am actually an IT professional in the US Air Force with over 20 years of service. Over the years I have found art to be great stress reliever and an excellent way to relax. I do not have an education in art and have only taken one basic drawing class while stationed in Germany several years ago. Most of what I do comes from practice and reading How Too Books. I also study works by other artist.

I started in art as a kid while watching Bob Ross doing his Wet on Wet painting technique on PBS. After joining the military I started searching the Web looking for good help sites about drawing and painting and ran across Mike Sibley’s web site. I was amazed at the work he does with pencil and was excited about his Studio Tips page. I spent a lot of time studying his tips and practicing. I have also studied JD Hillberry’s web site and have one of his books. There are several others artist that I have booked marked their sites, but these two artist are absolutely amazing at what they can do. If you have not visited their pages it is well worth the time to do so. I have their sites listed in my link section.

You will notice that this site is mainly dedicated to photos, digital graphics and images done in Adobe Photoshop and I am sitting here talking about pencil drawing. I believe to be good in art, a basic understanding in drawing is a big help. Just having a good understanding of the principles of shading and different values will enhance what you can do in all fields of art. Another benefit that drawing teaches, is how to observe an object. In other words drawing teaches how to see the true shape of an object. In order to make an accurate drawing, you have to understand the basic shapes within. Once this skill is learned, it can then be applied in all areas of art including digital art. Even if your goal is just simple adjustments to photos that you have taken, if you can visualize the shapes and determine the correct color values you will be better equipped to produce the image you are looking for.

Again, all the Adobe Photoshop pictures on this site is part of the Public Domain and can be downloaded unless listed as copyright protected. If you used any of these images, please give my site credit and link back to me.

Thank you.
